The regional state administration of the Dniprovsky region ordered 300 leather drums and 153 sets of hammers for shelter for 890 thousand hryvnias.
The contract for their supply was concluded on May 11, and the supplier had to deliver them by May 19. The cost of one drum ranges from 1 thousand 900 UAH. up to 3 thousand 960 UAH, and the price of one set of hammers is 136 UAH. Musical instruments were supposedly purchased for “the psychological relief of children in shelters during air raids.” This is stated on the public procurement website Prozorro.
The winner of the tender was the founder and director of Smart Paper LLC Roman Patrikey, the company is engaged in the wholesale trade of household goods.
Kyiv City Council deputy Leonid Yemets is shocked by such a waste of public funds during a full-scale war with Russia.
If you think that a frying pan for 720 thousand UAH is the limit, then how do you like 300 leather drums in a shelter? for 890 thousand UAH. And again the RGA of the Dnieper region. Again. In shelter. Drums. 300. For almost 1 million hryvnia. For everything else with shelters is already super ok?! he wrote on Facebook.
Recall that on the night of June 1, in the Desnyansky district of Kyiv, not far from a closed shelter, three people, including a child, died during an air raid. After the death of civilians, the Kyiv City State Administration announced that the shelters in the capital would be constantly open, and the balance holder would be responsible for the shelter.
After this incident, law enforcement officers arranged an inspection of shelters throughout Ukraine. It turned out that out of 4,800 checked shelters, 893 were unsuitable for use. 252 objects of civil protection turned out to be closed.
