The Ukrainian Defense Ministry sees no visible sign of Russia preparing a second attack on Kyiv. This is what Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said on the air of the telethon on May 28.
“In fact, a very serious panic was sown among the people of Kiev. All night, many people called me on the phone. All night I was in touch on this issue with the commander in chief and the head of the intelligence department. So far , we have such information that is not, which would indicate a possible offensive, – he said.
According to Malyar, at first this information appeared on Russian social networks, and only then the “concerned citizens” of Ukrainian made efforts to spread it.
At the same time, he stressed that the threat to Kyiv and the entire territory of Ukraine remains.
For the enemy, the easiest and fastest way to establish control over the whole of Ukraine was to capture the capital. Therefore, you need to be aware that the country is in a state of war and there are always such risks, ”the deputy defense minister said.
