On Monday, June 12, in at least four regions of the Russian Federation, an appeal was heard on the radio by fighters of the Legion of Freedom of Russia (LSR), discussing the liberation of Crimea from “criminal gangs of war Putin.” It was reported by The Moscow Times.
“Fake messages” were announced at the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory. They sounded on the air of radio stations in Yeysk, Anapa, Tuapse, as well as in Novopokrovsky, Kushchevsky, Gulkevichsky districts.
The government of the Kaliningrad region also announced a hacker attack. Unknown persons hacked the Europe Plus radio station and broadcast “illegal content” on the air, the press service said.
In Tuapse, the broadcast of the local Unang Radyo was interrupted around 4 pm. In the message, a representative of the organization shared his plans to liberate Crimea from “Putin’s gangs of war criminals.” He called on the Crimeans to give the fighters “maximum help in the fight against the criminal regime”, and also promised to destroy “war criminals”, except those who repented and surrendered to the Legion. The man added that the organization had never targeted civilians.
It was noted that residents of Kursk and Tyumen also encountered air hacking, where they broadcast the same message.
