When a huge number of Shahed-131/136 UAVs fly, they use different routes, cling low to the ground. That is why they are difficult to get on a plane. Yes, and the speed of the UAV is 150 km / h, and the fighter flies at a speed of at least 400 km / h. This was stated by the press secretary of the Air Force, Colonel Yuriy Ignat, in an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda.
According to him, it is very difficult to shoot down Iranian stowaways at night with air defense systems of the Ground Forces or mobile fire groups. Therefore, Russia is deliberately launching these drones at night to deplete Ukrainian air defenses.
The enemy wants the Ukrainian military to spend anti-aircraft missiles on the Shaheds. Thus, the Russians can see where the Ukrainian complexes are, make adjustments in the event of a missile strike already from ships or aircraft.
Iranian drones are a headache. It’s still hard to shoot them down, – Ignat emphasized.
Recall that on the night of June 11, the Russians attacked Kharkiv and Sumy regions from the air. The air defense forces destroyed six Iranian-made Shahed-type kamikaze drones.
