Defenders of Ukraine can get vacations in parts three times a year, Yaroslav Zheleznyak said.
The Verkhovna Rada supported the bill No. 9378 regarding military holidays, increasing them to 40 days. This was announced by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on his Telegram channel on Saturday, June 10.
He added that a total of 270 people’s deputies voted for the adoption of the corresponding bill.
The document provides for the provision of 30 days of military leave, as well as another 10 additional days for family reasons and other valid reasons.
Leave may be granted in parts three times a year, with a simultaneous absence of no more than 30 percent of the total number of military personnel.
“This is part of that bill No. 9342, which was on payments to the military. But its consideration is being delayed until July. But before the second reading, the main bill (No. 9342) also has a provision on the vacation of the cadets . (20 days in summer + 10 days in winter), but these standards are not in No. 9378 adopted today,” said Zheleznyak.
The law must now be signed by the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and the president.
It will be recalled that in December 2022, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law that provides the possibility to grant leave to military personnel during martial law.
