This was announced today, June 8, by the press service of Ukrhydroenergo.
Currently, the destruction of the spillway dam, the earth insert between the station building and the gateway continues, the report says.
Ukrhydroenergo notes that, together with Ukrenergo, they are working out possible scenarios, taking into account the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, in order to ensure further balanced operation of the energy system.
In particular, to reduce flooding, the operating mode of hydroelectric power plants is adjusted and water is accumulated above the Kakhovskaya HPP in other reservoirs of the Dnieper cascade, the state-owned company notes.
Also, Ukrhydroenergo, together with the design institute Ukrhydroproekt, is working on a project for the construction of a dam (overlap) of the Kakhovka reservoir to restore the water level to the design mark before undermining. A list of priority tasks and works is being prepared.
