Russia reported a sharp drop in demand for holidays in Crimea

The demand for Crimean holidays among Russians fell sharply in 2022 – up to 3%, and this year the share of “Crimean” bookings is only 1%.

This year, the demand for rental housing for summer holidays in Crimea temporarily occupied by Russians has fallen to a record low – up to 1% in other regions. The leadership was passed to Sochi. This was reported by the Russian edition of RBC.

“Crimea’s share in booking hotels and vacation rentals in the summer of 2023 was 1%. In the summer of 2021, it was 19%, then the region became the leader in booking ,” the publication said.

It is also reported that the demand for Crimean holidays among Russians has fallen sharply in 2022 – up to 3%. And the demand for Sochi has increased in Russia over the past five years, and at this stage, this resort accounts for 15% of all bookings in Russia for this summer.

Recall that Zelensky previously announced a program for the de-occupation of Ukrainian territories, including Crimea.
