The number of Russian military personnel stationed on the territory of Belarus has decreased to one thousand. This was announced by the representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko at a briefing on June 7.
“The situation in this direction (on the border of Belarus, – ed.) remains fully under control. We have not currently recorded the creation of the necessary offensive grouping that could be ready to carry out an invasion from the territory of Belarus. The Russian military , which is on the territory of Belarus , are involved mainly in exercises or training in training areas. And according to our data, their number there today does not exceed a thousand military personnel,” he said.

It should be recalled that Belarus has resumed joint military exercises with the Russian armed forces. They continued until at least June 4th.
