The invaders do not carry out the evacuation of the civilian population from the flooded settlements of the Kherson region, although they have withdrawn their own troops.
This was stated by Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Security Council Serhiy Kislitsa during a special meeting of the Security Council.
The diplomat noted that after the explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station in the territory controlled by Ukraine, it is planned to evacuate 17 settlements with a population of more than 17 thousand people, in the occupied areas of the left bank, 20 cities and villages with a population of about 25 thousand people are subject to evacuation.
Kislitsa told the audience that such settlements as Oleshki and Golaya Pristan could be under water. Partial flooding may affect Aleksandrovka, Shirokaya Balka, Sofiyivka, Vinogradnoye and other villages. The water level can rise by 1.5 m or more.
Kislitsa’s words are also confirmed by correspondence in local chats: people are begging for help.
Local publics of Kherson report that in the temporarily occupied Oleshky, water in the coastal zone reaches the roofs of houses, children are hysterical, residents call their relatives and say goodbye.

Lots of old people on the roofs, no boats. There is nothing to get. Looking for a way to help. The horror is that people may not survive this night, especially small children, the report said.
At least seven people are considered missing after the territory was flooded as a result of an explosion at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, Russian Gauleiter Vladimir Leontiev said.
We are now finding out information about the missing, but, preliminary, these people were also evacuated from the flood zones that ceased to exist – the islands. There were shepherds there… About seven people, whom we know for sure, – Interfax quotes him.
According to Leontiev, four settlements in the Kherson region remain almost completely flooded:
The settlement of Korsunka, except for the last street, is completely under water, the Dnieper, Krynki, Cossack Camps, downstream, are flooded along the roof.
The water level after flooding due to the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station is decreasing, in Novaya Kakhovka it has already fallen by 35 cm, an official appointed by Muscovy claims.
Recall that about 300 animals of the Fairy Dibrova zoo died in New Kakhovka, occupied by Russians.
