NBC News, citing two US officials and one Western official, said the Joe Biden administration is working to declassify and share some of the intelligence.
Throughout the day, the Russian occupation authorities gave conflicting comments on the situation, eventually the Kremlin called it allegedly “sabotage by the Ukrainian side.” According to the conclusion of Ukrainian intelligence, the Russian troops committed the explosion on purpose, but they acted chaotically and allowed their equipment to be flooded.
The White House said that they could not yet finally name the reason for the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
National security spokesman John Kirby stressed that Russian troops occupied and controlled the hydroelectric power station, but the United States cannot yet say whether these were deliberate actions.
