Dmitry Peskov, as expected, rejected the accusations against the Russian military, accusing Ukraine of “deliberate sabotage.”
The aggressor country of Russia accused Ukraine of “sabotage” at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, as a result of which the station was destroyed. This is what Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing on Tuesday, June 6.
“We can now say without a doubt that this is a “deliberate sabotage” of the Ukrainian side. This “sabotage” can have very serious consequences for several tens of thousands of residents of the region, environmental consequences, consequences of a different nature, which are yet to be determined,” he said.
Peskov claimed that Ukraine “pursued the goal of dewatering Crimea.” He also denied the accusations against the Russian military.
“The water level in the reservoir is decreasing. And, accordingly, the supply in the canal is decreasing, it is decreasing rapidly. Apparently, the “sabotage” is also connected to the fact that, having launched large-scale offensive operations of the two days ago, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are no longer achieving their goals. These offensive actions are suffocating,” said Peskov.
Remember that tonight the Russians blew up the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. As a result, this structure was completely destroyed by the waves of the Kakhovka reservoir. There are 80 settlements in the flood zone. Mass evacuations have begun in the region.
