The response video today, June 5, was published on the Legion’s Telegram channel.
We appeal to you because the entire pro-government elite, in the person of Gladkov, holder of the Order of Courage, cowardly sat out, leaving their people in captivity while their troops covered peaceful cities with artillery, the video says.
The military say that they became aware of the capture of the commander of the 72nd brigade from Russia, Lieutenant Colonel Roman Venevitin, by the Wagnerites.
As a gesture of goodwill, we propose to exchange it for several fighters of the RF Armed Forces, captured by us during the liberation battles in the Belgorod region, the video message says. –
We are talking about a fair exchange without additional conditions. We will agree on the details of the exchange later.”
Yesterday, Russian volunteers published an appeal to the governor of the Belgorod region of Russia, Vyacheslav Gladkov, who was offered to meet on Trinity Day in a church in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, Shebekinsky district, and in exchange for a meeting, pick up two captured Russian soldiers.
Gladkov did not agree to this, putting forward his own conditions. But Prigozhin reacted, declaring his readiness to take part in the negotiations.
