In five hours, the water will reach a critical level, so the residents of some villages on the right bank will be taken to a safe place.
In connection with the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric dam by the invaders, an evacuation was announced. This was reported by the Kherson regional military administration.
It was noted that units of the National Police and State Emergency Services were alerted to alert and evacuate the civilian population from potential flood areas on the right bank of the Dnieper River, namely: the villages of Nikolaevka, Olgovka, Levo, Tyaginka, Ponyatovka, Ivanovka, Tokarevka, Ponyatovka, Pridneprovsk, and partly the city of Kherson – the island of Korabel.
As noted by the head of OVA Alexander Prokudin, within five hours the water will reach a critical level.
“The evacuation of residents in dangerous areas has begun, all services are working… Please collect documents and valuables and wait for the evacuation buses. I separately appeal to the residents of the Left Bank. I request it’s up to you to do everything possible to protect yourself and save your life. Leave the dangerous territories immediately”, he said.
Anyone in the danger zone must:
-
turn off all electrical appliances;
-
retrieve documents and valuables;
-
take care of relatives and pets;
-
follow the instructions of lifeguards and police.
“Note: the enemy is trying to spread disinformation, to free himself from responsibility for another crime. Therefore, use only information from official sources of Ukraine,” the administration urged.
It will be recalled that on the evening of June 6, a video with footage of the destroyed dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station spread on social networks.
Subsequently, OK South confirmed that the invaders blew up the facility.
