For the five months of 2023, the federal budget received 2.854 trillion rubles from the oil and gas industry against 5.658 trillion rubles last year.
Revenues from the oil and gas industry in the Russian budget in May 2023 decreased by 11.9% compared to April, to 570.7 billion rubles. This, referring to the statistics of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, was reported by the Russian news agency TASS.
It was also reported that compared to May 2022, the number fell 1.55 times – then revenues reached 886 billion rubles.
“In the five months of 2023, the federal budget received 2.854 trillion rubles from the oil and gas industry against 5.658 trillion rubles last year. According to the Ministry of Finance, in May, the export duty and tax in mineral extraction (MET) in Oil and gas condensate brought 617.7 billion rubles, which is 24.1% higher than in April.
It will be recalled that in March Russia decided to extend the voluntary reduction in oil production by 500,000 barrels per day for another three months.
It was previously reported that Russia is being forced to sell oil at huge discounts, exceeding $30 per barrel.
