Despite all the hardships and wartime, the spring sowing campaign will definitely come to an end.
In Ukraine, due to the temporary occupation of part of the southern region, there were problems with the supply of early vegetables. At the same time, the shortage of key products is not expected. This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky in an interview with Ukrainian Radio.

“There is tension in the early vegetable group, especially, young onions, carrots, beets, because the vegetables of the early group are grown in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions,” he said.
At the same time, the official sees no threat to annual consumption in the shortage of staple foods.
“Regarding a possible shortage of some products, 182,000 hectares of planted sugar beet is more than enough to satisfy the domestic market, and it is still possible to export. Moreover, 1.1 million hectares of potatoes have been planted, which if which is more than enough for domestic consumption, “the deputy minister added.
According to Vysotsky, despite all the difficulties and wartime, the spring sowing campaign will definitely come to an end. Approximately 90% of what was planned to be sown this year has already been sown. 200,000 hectares of spring wheat, nearly a million of spring barley, 157,000 hectares of oats, 50,000 hectares of buckwheat, millet, and 4 million hectares of sunflower were sown.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian invaders illegally removed from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine 500 thousand tons of grain, tens of thousands of tons of sunflower oil, vegetables and agricultural machinery.
