The Kremlin says the Russian president wants to achieve his goals in other ways, not through war.
President Vladimir Putin is ready for any contacts to achieve the goals necessary for Russia to avoid the continuation of the war against Ukraine. This was said by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on the air of the propaganda TV channel Russia 1.
According to him, the Russian president was allegedly “open for dialogue” earlier in order to achieve the goals necessary for Russia.
“Putin is, is and will be open to any contacts to achieve the goals of the Russian Federation through other means than a special operation,” Peskov said.
Earlier, a Kremlin spokesman said the “collective West” was waging war against Russia “on all fronts.” However, the goals of Russia’s “special operation” in Ukraine “have not changed and will be fulfilled.”
Peskov assured that Russia is not waging a real war, trying to protect the infrastructure and the lives of people in Ukraine.
Recall that in the summer of last year, Putin said that the Russian Federation did not seem to seriously start a war against Ukraine.
