This was announced today, June 3, on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Explosives police officers Taras Dmytruk and Roman Khomenko performed a heroic deed by removing ammunition from a burning building in Kyiv. They prevented a large-scale explosion, – the Ministry of Internal Affairs notes.
The event took place in the Goloseevsky district of Kyiv, where, during another shelling of the city, a fragment of a drone fell into the building of one of the factories, resulting in a fire.
The non-detonated warhead of the drone remained in the fire. At high temperatures, the ammunition could detonate at any moment and lead to a powerful explosion with serious consequences, the department notes.
It is noted that after the fall of the wreckage of the drone, all emergency services, including explosives, immediately arrived at the scene of the incident.
They risked their own lives to avoid a massive explosion and save many people. We thank them for their important work and courage.
