252 objects of civil protection became closed, 893 shelters were not used.
In Ukraine, on the morning of June 3, law enforcement officials checked more than 4,800 shelters, of which nearly 900 were unusable. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Igor Klimenko, the press service of the department reports.
“More than 4,800 shelters throughout the state were checked. 252 civil protection facilities were closed, 893 were not used,” he said.
According to Klymenko, more than 5,300 rescuers, police officers and government officials are conducting audits.
Recall that during the air attack on Kiev on June 1, two women and a 9-year-old girl were killed in the Desnyansky district, who at that time were on the street, trying to get to a closed shelter in the territory of the clinic.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke highly of the level of preparedness of the shelters. Yes, in the capital part of the shelters are still not accessible to people, and in some parts of the city they are still not there.
As reported, an offline map of shelters in the capital appeared on the Kyiv Digital mobile application. It can also report closed or inaccessible vaults.
