The official Budapest posted a video online with the eloquent title “The time for peace has come!”. The footage shows children and women refugees, tanks, and maps of Ukraine. However, for some reason, on these Hungarian maps, the occupied Crimea is depicted for some reason as “the territory of Russia.” The video appeared on the YouTube channel of the Hungarian government.
Enough war, only a ceasefire can end the devastation, only peaceful negotiations can save lives. It’s time for peace, says the voice-over in the video.
As you know, officially Hungary, like most countries of the world, does not recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014.

Recall, the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, said the day before that it was necessary to prevent the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, because allegedly because of the counteroffensive, Ukraine could “lose more military than Russia.” Orban believes that “the attacking side always suffers more losses than the defending side.”
In response, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, noted that the Hungarian prime minister should call Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and ask him to withdraw troops from Ukraine if he is really worried about losses.
Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko said that peace talks with Moscow are possible only after the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine.
