The US Senate has backed a bill to increase the national debt and limit government spending until the 2024 election.

The White House wants to change military projects, because of which a number of Washington’s defense commands totaling $16 billion could remain without funding. In the United States, they started talking about it after senators passed a bill that would raise the national debt ceiling and limit federal spending. About this on Friday, June 2, Reuters wrote.

The agency wrote that they can save money in the program for the purchase of tanks and a new landing ship, as well as the modernization of attack helicopters.

According to Reuters sources, the list of “unfunded priorities” includes Abrams tanks produced by General Dynamics, helicopters and a ship for the Marine Corps by Huntington Ingalls Industries.

Before the vote in the Senate, the relevant committees were reportedly considering a national security budget of more than $900 billion for the fiscal year 2024. Currently, they intend to reduce it to 886 billion dollars.

For the first time, the US national debt will exceed $30 trillion in January 2022.

Ukraine, the National Bank, businesses and banks must pay 10.112 billion dollars by the end of the year.
