Since the start of Russia’s all-out invasion of Ukraine in the Kherson region, 34 children have died, 85 have been injured in various degrees of severity.
In the village of Zagoryanivka, Belozersky commune, Kherson region, two children were injured due to the explosion of an unknown object. This was announced on Friday, June 2, by the chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration Alexander Prokudin on Telegram.
“A 13-year-old child had shrapnel wounds on the legs. A smaller one, 10-year-old, was wounded in the stomach. The children were taken to the hospital. Their condition is quite serious. Doctors is giving everyone the help they need. The older man is undergoing surgery,” he wrote.
Prokudin spoke to the children’s parents and urged them to be cooperative.
“Watch where your children are playing. Do not touch unknown objects,” urged Prokudin.
Recall that earlier in the Kherson region, a teenager was blown up by a Russian mine. And in the Izyum region, a 39-year-old man died due to the explosion of an unknown object.
It was previously reported that in Lviv, a 14-year-old student suffered a bullet wound to the chest as a result of an accidental shot from a pump-action shotgun.
