We are talking about the sharing of companies of strategic importance in the transportation of fuel and other critical cargo through the Black Sea.
In Ukraine, a “new part” of the assets of the wife of the former People’s Deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, Oksana Marchenko, was arrested for the total amount of almost 740 million hryvnias. This was reported by the SBU on Friday, June 2.
It is indicated that we are talking about the shares of Oksana Marchenko in seven port infrastructure companies in the Odessa region: Eximnefteprodukt JSC, Sintez Oil PrJSC, Sintez Transit PrJSC, Ukrloudsistem LLC, Odesnefteprodukt JSC, Chernomorsky Fuel Terminal PrJSC and Albion Kommitiz LLC. Medvedchuk’s wife owns shares in these companies through several offshore structures.
“The arrest of the related property will protect it from re-registration with nominees and in the future will allow it to be transferred in favor of our state. These companies have strategic importance in transporting fuel and other critical cargo through the Black Sea,” said the SBU.
Recall that in February, Oksana Marchenko’s property worth 5.6 billion hryvnias was arrested. The SBU investigators informed him about the suspicion under the article on funding actions taken with the purpose of forcing to change or overthrow the constitutional order or usurpation of state power, change of borders of the territory or state border of Ukraine (part 3 of article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The penalty of the article provides a penalty of up to 8 years in prison.
And in March, the assets of Medvedchuk’s wife were arrested for 440 million hryvnias. Then it was a strategically important enterprise specializing in the production of almost 1 thousand types of steel and hardware.
