He said this in a CNBC commentary in Chisinau.
I agree with the NATO Secretary General: Ukraine has a rightful place in the North Atlantic Alliance, Sunak said.
The British prime minister added that the allied countries are sending a strong signal to the war criminal, Russian President Vladimir Putin, that they will protect the security of Kyiv in the long term.
We want to make sure that we put in place security measures for Ukraine for the long term and that we sent a very strong signal to Vladimir Putin that we are not going anywhere. We remain here and will support Ukraine not only now, but also in the future,” Sunak said.
Recall, on June 1, the second meeting of the European Political Community was held in Chisinau, at which 47 heads of state and government discussed joint efforts for peace in Ukraine, protection of democracy, strengthening energy security and sustainability of European states.
