The UNESCO Heritage Emergency Fund has approved a $1.5 million assistance project to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine for the development of digitalization tools in the field of cultural heritage. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.
“A very fruitful working meeting with the Head of the UNESCO Office in Ukraine, Chiara Dezzi Bardeschi. We discussed specific measures and the allocation of $1.5 million through the special UNESCO Heritage Emergency Fund for the rapid implementation of technical solution that will allow us to create and develop modern tools for monitoring and preserving Ukrainian culture”, the message said.
It is reported that in the first stage, in July 2023, Ukraine will receive 40% of the necessary technical equipment and software for the development of the server infrastructure.
In addition, international consultants will come to Ukraine to accompany all processes and help develop a strategy for integrating the digital part of culture in the European space.
