The Secretary General of NATO said that Ukrainians have strong cross-party support among Ukrainians in Alliance allies both in Europe and in the United States.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Western countries are not tired of providing military aid to Ukraine in defense against Russian aggression. This was reported by CNN.
“Everyone is in the hope that they will see signs of fatigue in our democracies, in NATO countries and partners, looking at our ability to provide support. We have not noticed this fatigue,” said by Stoltenberg.
According to him, at the moment, aid to Ukraine is only increasing. Ukrainians continue to enjoy strong cross-party support among Alliance allies in Europe and the US.
Stoltenberg added that despite the presence of “differing voices” and opinions on aid, the existing “political will to support” Ukraine remains unchanged.
Recall that he previously said that NATO member countries should increase defense spending to at least 2% of GDP.
At the same time, according to Stoltenberg, Ukraine’s accession to NATO will not take place while the war is going on, but the path to future membership is open.
