Ukrainians are always grateful to the United States and every American for their support, the head of state said.
President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the American people on the occasion of the national Day of Remembrance. The head of state also thanked for the assistance provided by the United States to Ukraine, the Office of the President reports.
“On behalf of all Ukrainians, I want to honor the courage and self-sacrifice of all Americans who stood up and continued to defend freedom. Your freedom survived thanks to those who fought for it. Our freedom is will live thanks to those who fight for it,” Zelensky.
The Ukrainian leader emphasized that “freedom is based on the courage of the best of their kind” and the willingness of young men and women serving their people in the army to make their courage the basis for the future of their country.
The President indicated that the Ukrainians will always be grateful to the United States and every American for the exceptional support, which helps to “reduce the tyranny of Russia to those who lost the fight for freedom.”
“My special thanks on this Memorial Day to all Americans: sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters who became warriors. To those whose strength became the strength of freedom. May Our victory, the victory of the Ukrainian soldiers, will make it clearer,” Zelensky summed up.
