India launches space navigation satellite

The launch of the GSLV-F12/NVS-01 mission was carried out from the spaceport at Sriharikota. The weight of the navigation satellite is about 2232 kg.

Today, May 29, in India, the Space Research and Development Organization (ISRO) launched a launch vehicle with satellite navigation in space. This was reported by The Hindu.

It is reported that the launch of GSLV-F12 / NVS-01 mission was carried out from the cosmodrome at Sriharikota.

The weight of the navigation satellite is about 2232 kg. It will be deployed in geotransfer orbit. The following orbit boost maneuvers will be performed to bring the satellite into its planned orbit. NVS-01 is equipped with antenna for L1, L5 and S band and an atomic clock made by local manufacturers.
