According to information on the BP website, the draft has already been submitted for consideration by the leadership of the Parliament and the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Ukrinform reports.
Approve the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated May 27, 2023 “On the application of sectoral special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) to the Islamic Republic of Iran”, put into effect by Presidential Decree No. 308/2023 dated May 27, 2023, – proposed in the draft document.
In its decision of May 27, the National Security and Defense Council decided to apply sectoral sanctions against Iran for a period of 50 years.
Earlier, in an interview with Italian media, Zelensky said that Iran had sold more than a thousand drones and other weapons to Russia. Also in a daily video message dated May 24, Zelensky addressed the people of Iran, urging them not to become complicit in Russian terror.
