Bless our decisive advance! – it is said in the video with the participation of the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Zaluzhny explained that this was a video dedicated to the liberation of Ukraine from Russian invaders.
The authors of the video were inspired by the Prayer of a Ukrainian nationalist, written by Osip Mashchak in the 1920s, although the text here is completely different.
This is a prayer for the liberation of Ukraine. With such words and thoughts, our heroic warriors go on the offensive to liberate Ukraine from Russian invaders and raise the Banner of Victory,” the commander-in-chief commented on the video.
Here is the full text of the prayer:
Ukraine, mother earth,
Lord, our heavenly father,
Bless!
I go to destroy
enemies of the native land,
the killers of my brothers,
my sisters’ rapists.
Let my hand be hard
to kill enemies!
May my eyes be clear
to kill enemies!
Let my weapon be in good order,
to kill enemies!
Let my will be steel
to kill enemies!
Ukraine, mother earth,
Lord, our heavenly father,
Bless!
Our decisive attack!
Our sacred vengeance!
Our holy victory!
Join those who will raise the banner of our victory!
Join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
The video was created on a volunteer basis by Ukrainian companies and artists.
