Washington supports Kyiv’s right to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Ukrainian state, Matthew Miller explained.
Ukraine has the right and every opportunity to liberate the territories temporarily occupied by Russia, as well as to restore its own borders, recognized at the international level in 1991. This is what the spokesman of the US State Department Matthew Miller said in a briefing in Washington.
So, the American official responded to the question of whether the US aid is aimed at “restoring the borders of Ukraine in 1991”
“We believe that Ukraine has a chance and a right – and we support Ukraine in protecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” he stressed.
Miller explained that he meant the liberation of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, including Crimea.
Matthew Miller also said that the United States condemned the agreements between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on the deployment of Russian tactical nuclear weapons (NW) on the territory of Belarus.
