The reconnaissance ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet “Ivan Khurs” today, May 24, in the morning at about 05.30 was attacked by unidentified “sea drones” 74 km north of the Bosphorus Strait.

The relevant information was disseminated in social networks by Russian “military correspondents” who carry out information support for Russian aggression, there is no official confirmation from Russia yet, Defense Express reports.
It is noted that the ship was attacked by three drones at once, the type of which is not named. It is also stated that “the attack was repulsed”, and according to “preliminary data, the ship was not damaged.”
Ivan Khurs is a project 18280 reconnaissance ship, unique for the Russian Black Sea Fleet and one of two in general in all Russian fleets. It was launched only in 2017 and commissioned in 2018.
The ship is equipped with electronic intelligence, electronic warfare systems, as well as communication systems to ensure fleet management. It is declared that it is designed to monitor missile defense systems, and the exact composition of the equipment was not disclosed.
The Ivan Khurs, since it is a reconnaissance ship, is armed with several MTPU machine gun mounts for 14.5 mm KPVT and several MANPADS. The crew is 120 people.
