This was reported by the press service of the department.
We are talking about cash contributions from three individuals who transferred a total of UAH 2 million 896 thousand to the party’s account (contributions were made in the amount of UAH 1 million 700 thousand, UAH 900 thousand and UAH 296 thousand).
But the NAPC found that these citizens for the period from 2017 to 2020 did not have the appropriate income to finance the party in this amount, the report says.
This may indicate that the persons who made the contributions, in fact, only disposed of the funds of third parties who intended to keep the financing of the political party anonymous, the NAPC notes.
The anti-corruption agency emphasizes that the law prohibits contributions to political parties by anonymous or pseudonymous persons. NAZK sent the relevant information to the police for entering information into the Unified State Register of Pre-trial Investigations and conducting a pre-trial investigation in accordance with Part 2 of Art. 1591 of the Criminal Code.
Such a violation is punishable by a fine of 100 to 300 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or correctional labor for up to 2 years, or restriction of freedom for the same period, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of 5 years, — noted in the NAPC.
