Persons drafted into the army or alternative civilian service must leave their passports for storage at the migration department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or a multifunctional center (MFC). Five days are given for the transfer of the passport from the moment the decision to call the relevant commission is made. You can get the document back after completing the service.
Human rights activists specify that the innovations concern conscripts aged 18 to 27 who are not in the reserve and in respect of whom they made a decision to call for service. It is possible that the draftees’ passports will be confiscated immediately after the meeting of the draft commission.
Recall that in April, a war criminal, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law providing for the creation of a unified register of persons liable for military service and the introduction of electronic summonses.
