Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, 2,150 Ukrainian children have been deported from Ukraine to Belarus. Among them are orphans from six to 15 years old. According to the report, the children were taken to rest camps and sanatoriums.
Ukraine knows for certain the data of almost 20,000 children taken to Russia. Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets said that Moscow is fabricating court cases in order not to return deported Ukrainian children, and called on the UN to intervene.
On March 17, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for war criminal Vladimir Putin and Russia’s Commissioner for Children’s Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova. They are accused of illegal deportation of the population (children).
