The concert of singer Svetlana Loboda in Kyiv has been cancelled.
This was announced on Instagram by the organizers of the performance, the agency Osokor.Residenсe.
First, the announcement of Loboda’s concert disappeared from the pages of Osocor in social networks. Also, pages about the concert were removed from operator sites.
Earlier, the Okhmatdet clinic stated that they did not agree with Loboda’s “charity” concert, which was supposed to be held in support of the medical facility.
Loboda’s “Made in U” charity concert was supposed to take place on August 25 at the Osocor Residence in Kyiv, with the help of which they planned to raise funds for the restoration of the ENT department of the Okhmatdet hospital.
The funds are planned to be spent on the repair and arrangement of observation rooms, wards, a kitchen-dining room and a children’s room.
Opponents of the singer’s performance believed that the organizers of the charity concert were trying to correct Loboda’s image in Ukraine.
Dear, don’t you understand that this concert will not take place? We won’t let you hold it,” outraged Ukrainians wrote on the pages of Osocor Residence.
Four days after Russia’s massive invasion of Ukraine, Loboda issued an appeal calling for “this horror to be stopped.” However, Russia is not mentioned in her address.
I want to say that in my country, in Ukraine, a full-scale war is going on. People are being killed, people are forced to hide in basements, they have nothing to eat, and small children are next to them. There are ten million Russians among my subscribers. I beg you, those who can stop this horror. We are all — we are all little people. But we all want peace,” Loboda wrote.
Subsequently, the singer began to give interviews in which she tried to focus on the “patriotic position”. Loboda also said that she helps Ukrainians affected by the war.
Before that, Svetlana constantly performed in Russia and in the Crimea occupied by her. She also participated in Russian propaganda TV shows and turned down concerts in Ukraine.
