The decision to train the prisoners for ten days was made due to the large loss of personnel.

The Russian military leadership has reduced the period of preparation of prisoners for military operations on the territory of Ukraine due to heavy losses at the front. This was announced on May 22 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Against the backdrop of significant manpower losses, the Russian military leadership decided to reduce to ten days the training period for personnel from prisoners, whose base camp is deployed in the Starobelsky district of Lugansk region,” the report said.

Earlier, about 1,000 people were brought to this camp from places of deprivation of liberty on the territory of the Russian Federation.

According to the General Staff, the initial training is planned to be conducted within four weeks.

It was previously reported that the Russian army continues to pay for losses at the expense of prisoners.
