The head of state called for sending lethal weapons to the Ukrainian people, which will help protect the country from the aggression of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the Ukrainian leader agreed that there are still legislative and constitutional difficulties to approve such a decision. This was reported on May 21 by CNN.
Zelensky also noted that regarding diplomatic pressure on the aggressor country and individual formats for a diplomatic solution to the war in Ukraine, “the main thing is respect for the UN Charter and international law.” He stressed that Russia has no chance of any diplomatic path until it withdraws its troops from Ukrainian territories.
We all understand that no one will have anything to do with Russia while its troops are on the territory of Ukraine,” the Ukrainian leader said.
Recall that in Japan, the leaders of the G7 countries agreed that they would continue to supply Ukraine with weapons even in the event of the end of hostilities. Also during the summit, it was stated that the G7 countries would continue military, financial and diplomatic support for Ukraine in order to ensure the defeat of Russia.
