In a meeting with the Prime Minister of Canada, the President said that a critical moment has come for Ukraine and the whole world, and Ukraine needs more help.
On Sunday, May 21, President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Hiroshima, Zelensky said on Telegram.
“We discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda: further cooperation in the field of security and defense, the situation at the front, the training of Ukrainian officials as part of the Canadian UNIFIER training mission, the importance of implementing all points of Ukraine’s peace formula, and Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration,” Zelensky said in a statement.
He said he greatly appreciates Canada’s support in countering Russian aggression. And he added that now is a critical moment for Ukraine and the whole world, and Ukraine needs more help.
Zelensky also separately thanked Trudeau and Canada for their practical help in mine clearance and for the quick study of our requests by the Canadian government and Canadian manufacturers.
Remember, on May 20, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Japan for the G7 summit in Hiroshima.
