The last attempt was on May 2nd. Ukrayinska Pravda wrote about this on May 18, citing interlocutors in military circles. Then the occupiers fired at the convoy of cars, in particular, they hit the car, in which Tantsura should be.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner PPK, spoke about the successful assassination attempt on Tantsura. According to him, an armored car was destroyed from the artillery, where the commander of the terrorist defense should be. However, the Terror Defense Forces denied this statement: “Everyone is alive and well.”
UP sources noted that this was the second attempt to kill Dancer. Prior to this, the Ukrainian side intercepted the data of the Russians, according to which they knew in detail the route of movement of the commander at the front for several days. Then we made changes to the itinerary. In both cases, it is not known from whom the Russians received the information.
Dancer was appointed commander of the Terrorist Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2022. Over the years, he led the 169 training center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Desna”, was the chief of staff of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), and later – the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO). He was also Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
