Mobility is an important factor in the defense capability and stability of Ukraine. To strengthen the Security Forces of Ukraine, the German Foreign Ministry has provided another 34 pickup trucks over the past 3 weeks, the German Embassy in Ukraine said on Twitter.
Recall that on the eve of the visit of Volodymyr Zelensky to Berlin, which took place on May 14, Germany announced the largest package of military assistance to Ukraine since February 24, 2022.
The military assistance package will include tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, howitzers and air defense systems with missiles for them.
In the coming months, Germany intends to provide Ukraine with military assistance in the amount of about 2.7 billion euros. The package provides for the transfer of 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles and 30 Leopard 1 tanks, 18 wheeled howitzers, the transfer of which was announced in 2022.
The air defense of Ukraine is planned to be reinforced with four IRIS-T-SLM air defense systems and hundreds of guided missiles for it.
