More than 500 free Ukrainian language courses are already running in Ukraine. This was stated by the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language Taras Kremen, the press service of the Ombudsman reports.
“More than 500 free courses, conversation clubs and online resources are already operating on the territory of Ukraine that will help you learn and improve the language. You can join language courses in libraries, educational center, institutions of postgraduate pedagogical education,” he said.
Most of the sites are located in the region of Kyiv (69) and Kyiv (27), Lviv (79), Zakarpattia (60) and Dnipropetrovsk (37).
The smallest number of proposals for learning the state language were presented in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson regions.
“In addition, a separate page was created on the English version of the Commissioner’s official website, which provides useful information about educational resources and courses for foreigners who decide to learn the Ukrainian language .A total of 17 locations with paid and free language learning opportunities were collected,” Kremen added.

Recall that earlier the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language announced the creation of the League of Language Ambassadors in Ukraine.
Culture Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko said that after the liberation from the Russian occupation of Crimea and the occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, a “mild Ukrainization” will be needed there.
