Residents of the occupied part of the Zaporozhye region were threatened with power outages if they refused Russian passports.
The Russian occupiers threatened to cut off the electricity supply to the homes of residents of the captured part of the Zaporozhye region, who did not have Russian passports. This was reported by the Center for National Resistance on Tuesday, May 16.
It was noted that the occupiers are forcing residents of the temporarily occupied territories to renegotiate contracts for electricity supply, for which it is necessary to have Russian “documents”. In particular, for this it is necessary to have a Russian passport, an identification code and documents for housing ownership.
“The occupiers are giving 30 days to complete all the documents and re-sign the deal, otherwise they will cut off the electricity from the apartments,” the message said.
It was previously reported that the Russians in the temporarily occupied territories were forcing children over 14 years of age to obtain Russian passports.
On May 5, the “authorities” of the occupied part of the Zaporozhye region announced the evacuation of residents of a number of settlements located near the front line.
