The judges of the Supreme Court were searched, the head of the court, Vsevolod Knyazev, was detained because a widespread scheme of corruption was exposed in the Supreme Court. This was reported by the Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko.

Gerashchenko recalled that on April 19 of this year, the Armed Forces of Ukraine canceled the decision of the Northern Economic Court of Appeal to annul the 2002 agreement on the sale and purchase of 40.19% of the shares of the Poltava mining and processing plant Ferrexpo and transfer them to four companies – the former shareholders of the enterprise.

“In 2002, companies associated with Konstantin Zhevago acquired these shares from four offshore companies: Trimcroft Services Limited, Emsworth Assets Limited, Calefort Developments Limited and Gilson Investments Limited. Subsequently, after several additional issues, as well as the forced purchase of shares from minority shareholders, the sole shareholder Mining company Ferrexpo became YuGOK,” the report said.

At the end of December 2022, Zhevago was detained in France in Courchevel and placed under arrest pending consideration of Ukraine’s extradition request.

In early January, a French court released him from custody on bail of 1 million euros.

The Economic Court of Kyiv decided to seize the assets of the owner of the bank Finance and Credit Konstantin Zhevago as part of a case for damages in the amount of almost 46 billion hryvnias.

The court arrested the helicopter of the ex-People’s Deputy, the shareholder of the bank JSC Bank Finance and Credit Konstantin Zhevago.
