At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a combined group of Russian troops was created, which probably consisted of more than 200 thousand military men, organized into 70 combat regiments and brigades, divided into five groups of troops. These units were equipped with modern vehicles and conducted regular training. This is stated in the new British Ministry of Defense.
However, after more than a year of hostilities, the situation has changed. The main shock groups of the aggressor country now mainly consist of poorly trained mobilized reservists. In addition, the Russian Federation is now increasingly dependent on outdated equipment.
The fact that many units are severely understaffed adds to the problems for the occupiers. That is why the enemy is now conducting very simple infantry operations.
British intelligence doubts that Russia will be able to create a combat-ready reserve and be able to effectively coordinate large-scale military operations on the long front line in Ukraine.
Recall, British intelligence reported that the Russian dictatorship is trying to delay a new wave of mandatory mobilization in Russia and therefore military recruiters are targeting migrant workers from Central Asia in Russia for the war against Ukraine.
