The Ministry of Health is calling on Ukrainians to donate blood to help the military, which will be involved in the offensive. The Ministry of Health announced this on Facebook on Saturday, May 13.
“Your blood can fight, attack. Let’s prepare together! A successful offensive requires more than weapons. We need blood to save heroes. We need a reliable and constant supply of blood and its components so that everyone who needs appropriate medical care can receive it in time and enough”, – said the message.
In severe wounds, a fighter’s life often depends on having blood present and nearby and in sufficient quantity.
“The blood of one donor can save three people. But it happens that a wounded person needs the blood of three donors to save one life and bring a soldier to the operating block,” explained the Ministry of Health.
You can join the donation and donate blood by choosing the most convenient option for yourself.
So, if a person lives in a big city, he should call the blood center of his city and sign up for a specific day and time.
A person who lives in a village or small town and blood service centers are far away should call the blood center or the nearest district hospital. Thus, one will know when the field team conducting blood sampling will work in the region.
“If it is difficult for you to leave work, and among your colleagues there are many like-minded people who are also ready to share blood with wounded heroes, you can organize a donor day in your office ,” the ministry said. .
Recall that in one day in the direction of Bakhmut, the Ukrainian military managed to advance another 300 meters deep into the enemy.
