Germany announced a new military aid package to Ukraine totaling 2.7 billion euros. This was announced by the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak on Telegram on Saturday, May 13.
“It is preliminary known that the package may include: 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles; 30 Leopard tanks; four IRIS-T SLM air defense systems (12 launchers and hundreds of missiles for them); 200 reconnaissance UAVs; 100 armored vehicle; 100 logistic support vehicles; 15 Gepard; a large number of ammunition,” wrote Yermak and thanked the allies for such serious help.
Ermak’s information was confirmed by the German edition of Spiegel. It is emphasized that the new defense package should significantly modernize the air defense of Ukraine.
