A meeting of a coalition of 37 countries to create a Special Tribunal for the crimes of the Russian aggression against Ukraine is taking place in the capital of Estonia. About that said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba on Twitter on Friday, May 12.
“A Core Group of 37 states gathered today in Tallinn to advance their work on the Special Tribunal and find a solution to its legal parameters. Putin and his henchmen should know what started as a “special operation” will end in a special tribunal. Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsakhkna, thank you for your hospitality,” the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The official added that the coalition currently includes 37 states, including all G7 countries, EU countries and some countries in the Global South.
According to him, the result of their work is the creation of a special tribunal and the start of its work.
The first meeting of the countries was held this year, on January 26. Then 21 countries took part in the discussion.
As we already reported, Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin discussed with representatives of the US Department of Justice a special tribunal for Russia.
