Belgium to send $101 million in taxes from Russian assets to help Ukraine

Belgium uses $101 million tax on Russian fixed assets to help Ukraine. This was reported by The Guardian.

Half of the amount will be used to supply military equipment such as armored vehicles, weapons and ammunition.

The rest will be directed to humanitarian support, the future reconstruction of Ukraine, as well as strengthening Belgium’s diplomatic presence in the country.

Recall that Belgium has frozen a record amount of Russian assets. The media said that the country got 625 million euros in frozen assets of the Russian Federation.

It was also reported that the EU working group on the transfer of assets of the Russian Federation to Ukraine is starting work.
