A man in 2013 received political asylum in Finland, but decided to leave the country after joining NATO, complaining of “Russophobia”, according to the Russian edition “Zaks.ru”.
As it turned out, earlier the court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention in absentia, – representatives of the party told the publication.
Porokhovoy was one of 12 defendants in a criminal case initiated in Russia in 2010 about the continuation of the activities of the National Bolshevik Party (NBP), recognized as extremist and banned in Russia. In 2011, he left the country, and two years later he received political asylum in Finland. In Russia, he was put on the wanted list.
Sergei understood perfectly well that he could be detained. Nevertheless, he made a fundamental decision to return to Russia. Living in hostile Finland, which has become neutral, observing Russophobia and “Ukrainian” around, has become morally unacceptable for him,” party representatives said.
The Other Russia party was created in 2010 in Moscow by the former leadership of the NBP and did not receive official registration from the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, therefore, in fact, it operates illegally. At the same time, the party actively supports Russian aggression against Ukraine. In particular, its members were noticed in the ranks of the terrorists of the so-called LPR and DPR.
Sergei planned to help the front, he was going to become a volunteer and go to Donetsk as part of the “Interbrigade” movement. Now Porokhovy is waiting for transfer to St. Petersburg, – representatives of the Other Russia noted in a commentary to the publication.
