Thirty candidates are already taking tests and are invited for an interview by the HR department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the results of an open search for ambassadors, about thirty “very strong” candidates were found. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.
According to him, the candidates have already passed the tests and are invited for an interview by the HR service of the Foreign Ministry.
“Those who pass this stage will be tested and interviewed by me. After that, I will compile a final list of candidates and propose to the president to consider these candidates,” said Kuleba.
He also added that in total during this period the Foreign Ministry received and processed 1038 appeals.
“75 current and former diplomats, 126 scientists and teachers, 387 entrepreneurs and representatives of the business community, 56 civil servants and employees of state enterprises, 77 candidates from the security and defense sector, 38 representatives of civil society, 44 lawyers. Media workers, students, doctors, local representatives and many other categories,” said the minister.
According to him, about one hundred motivated and strong candidates are missing the position of ambassador, but can work in other diplomatic positions. These people, on equal terms with other potential candidates, will be invited to participate in open competitions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for positions in Kyiv and abroad.
“If we see more than 50 new motivated diplomats from a thousand applications from the ambassador and below vertically, this revolution is worth starting,” said Kuleba.
Recall that in March, the Foreign Ministry launched an open search for Ukrainian ambassadors due to a “staff shortage.” Then in the vacancies section there are 21 countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa, Middle East, South Caucasus and Southeast Asia.
It was previously reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Pavel Ryabikin Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to China.
